The Explorer Train is a City flagship for 2025: a long expedition train in the style of the Trans-Siberian Railway, but for scientific research. Three carriages: locomotive with double drive, sleeping carriage with bunks for the crew, and a scientific laboratory wagon with measuring equipment and an extendable observation tower.
The 6 minifigures form an expedition team: engineer, scientist, geologist, photographer, conductor, and cook. 1,517 pieces — one of the longer City train sets ever made. The train rolls on standard 8-stud rails (sold separately).
