Netherlands: the first LEGO® Halloween set of 2026 was in the LEGO® shop on 3 July, the first Christmas set on 2 August.
The unwritten rule
Pepernoten on the shelves in August. A Christmas tree in the living room before Sinterklaas has even arrived. Everyone knows the argument. One camp says Christmas may only start once Sinterklaas has left the country on 6 December. The other camp has the lights up in November and sees no problem. LEGO® picks no side. LEGO® puts the Halloween sets in the shop in July and the Christmas sets in August, before the schools reopen. Too early or right on time?
