LEGO® has never made a Halloween countdown calendar. So you make your own: 24 mini builds of 13 to 71 bricks, every one of them an official LEGO® design, one a day from 8 to 31 October.

Build your own LEGO® Halloween countdown calendar for the kids: 24 mini builds
The 24 builds, smallest to largest. Day 24 is the 2026 skeleton with the pumpkin head.

How it works

Each door gets one build: the bricks in a bag, the instructions with it, a number on the front. From 8 October to Halloween is exactly 24 days. The smallest builds go first; the 71-piece skeleton closes the calendar.

There are two routes. Route 1: buy the sets that are still in the shops, plus a few older polybags. Route 2: order all 932 parts loose with the parts list at the end of this article. Mixing the two is fine.

The 24 builds

Everything below is a real LEGO® design: seasonal polybags from 2010–2013, free builds from the monthly LEGO® Store build events, recent LEGO® Store builds and three promotional bags. Piece counts come from the Rebrickable inventories, minifigure parts included.

Still available at a normal price

Five Halloween sets are currently in stock at or below the recommended price. The skeleton, 71 pieces at around four euros, is the obvious day 24. The other four are too big for a door, but they are the sets the kids will ask for next to the calendar.

Prefer loose bricks? The parts list is ready

All 24 inventories added up: 932 parts, 347 different part-and-colour combinations, 35 colours. On 16 September 2026 I checked every combination in Pick a Brick on lego.com (Netherlands): 292 are listed, 284 of them available right now and 8 temporarily out of stock. The 284 available combinations add up to €100,26 for 798 pieces, shipping excluded. The remaining 55 combinations (116 pieces, mostly printed minifigure parts and the cardboard arch from set 850936) are on BrickLink; every part number in the wanted list was checked against the BrickLink catalogue.

How to use it: import the XML into a BrickLink wanted list and let BrickLink find the cheapest shop in your country. Or take the element IDs to Pick a Brick on lego.com. Then sort the bags with the per-day list. Count on an afternoon of work and on a few parts you will take from your own stock. Pick a Brick on lego.com.

Older Halloween sets: only above RRP now

These Halloween sets are retired. They still turn up with marketplace sellers, but almost always well above the old recommended price. For a countdown calendar they are not the first choice. If you want one anyway, the set page shows what is being asked right now.

Tips for the calendar

  • Print the numbered cards from this article as doors or as labels on the bags.
  • Put each day's bricks in a zip bag and hang them on a ribbon, or use 24 paper bags.
  • Keep day 1 small and day 24 big; a minifigure with accessories on day 1 works well as an opener.
  • Builds without official instructions can be copied from the Brickset photos; at 18 to 30 pieces that is quick.
  • Halloween is on 31 October. Start on 8 October and the last door opens exactly on Halloween.
