Theme group

Een theme group is LEGO's overkoepelende categorisatie waarbinnen meerdere thema's vallen. Het is een hiërarchie:

• Theme group (top-level): bijv. "Action/Adventure"
• Theme: bijv. "Star Wars"
• Subtheme: bijv. "Ultimate Collector Series"
• Set: bijv. 75192 Millennium Falcon

De grote theme groups

• Action/Adventure: licentiethema's als Star Wars, Marvel, DC, Indiana Jones
• Licensed: alle thema's onder externe licentie (overlapt deels met andere groups)
• Themed: LEGO's eigen thema's — City, Ninjago, Friends
• Constraction: figuren-bouwlijnen — Bionicle, Hero Factory (uit productie)
• Pre-school: DUPLO en LEGO Junior
• Adult: Icons, Architecture, Botanicals, Technic-flagships
• Educational: LEGO Education, BOOST, Mindstorms (educatieve robotica)
• Miscellaneous: alles dat niet in een ander group past — promotionele sets, GWPs, polybags zonder vast thema

Waar Lakea dit gebruikt

Op de set-overzichtspagina /sets kun je filteren op zowel theme group als theme. Theme group is ruwer (bredere categorie); theme is specifieker. Wij halen deze structuur uit Brickset waar het centraal wordt onderhouden.
