Polybag

A polybag is a small LEGO set packaged in a plastic bag (hence the name) rather than a cardboard box. Usually 30 to 100 pieces, sometimes including a minifigure.

What's inside

• Compact building instructions (often one or two A5 sheets)
• 30-100 pieces loose in the bag
• Sometimes a minifigure
• No stickers, no extra accessories

How you get them

• Standalone purchase: toy shops and supermarkets, €3-€8
• Free as GWP with large LEGO.com orders
• Free with promo: groceries, magazines, events
• LEGO Store events: free polybag at monthly "build a model" events

Why interesting

Polybags often contain unique minifigs or rare parts unavailable elsewhere. This makes them popular with collectors; some popular polybags fetch many times their original price on BrickLink.
