Pick-a-Brick

Pick-a-Brick (often abbreviated PAB) is LEGO's own webshop for loose bricks. Instead of a complete set, you buy individual parts — a blue 2×4 here, a grey plate there — and LEGO ships them to you. Perfect for replacing a lost piece or building a MOC without buying an entire set.

How it works

Every brick has a unique element ID (a 6 or 7-digit number) that identifies the combination of shape and colour. You can search on PAB by that ID. If found, add the quantity you want and check out, just like any other LEGO order.

What is NOT on PAB

  • Exclusive minifigures from limited sets — LEGO doesn't sell those individually.
  • Printed pieces from specific sets — often not available separately.
  • Very rare colours that LEGO only used in one set.
  • Sticker sheets — only included with the original set.

Not found? The brick is usually on BrickLink, the second-hand marketplace — private sellers offer loose parts there that LEGO no longer supplies.

Where Lakea uses this

On every set page we show the complete parts list from the official building instructions. Click an element number and we take you straight to PAB to order that specific part in the right colour. Do we earn from this? Yes — a small commission via LEGO's official affiliate programme. You pay no more; we get a small contribution that keeps Lakea running.
