Modular Buildings
Modular Buildings is LEGO's prestigious line of detailed buildings for adult fans. The series started in 2007 with 10182 Café Corner. Since then, one new modular has been released each year — typically in January.
What makes them "modular"
Every modular is built on a 32×32 baseplate and has the same road type on the side. This lets you place multiple modulars next to each other to form a street you can expand indefinitely. Collectors who own all modulars can build a complete LEGO city.
Examples
- 10182 Café Corner (2007) — first modular, hit €4000+ second-hand
- 10243 Parisian Restaurant (2014)
- 10255 Assembly Square (2017) — 25th anniversary, extra-large
- 10311 Orchid — not a modular but same 18+ audience
- 10312 Jazz Club (2023)
What to expect
2500-4000+ pieces, €170-€280 RRP, 8-12 hours build time. Exceptional detail: minifigs, interior on every floor, animated elements. Once retired they appreciate sharply — Café Corner went from €140 RRP to €3000+ second-hand.
