Minifigure (minifig)
A minifigure (or "minifig") is the iconic LEGO little figure. Introduced in 1978, about 4 cm tall, and unchanged in basic shape since. A minifig consists of separate parts: head, torso, legs (and sometimes arms, hands, capes and accessories).
Skin colour
Since their introduction, minifigs have had yellow skin — a deliberately neutral choice. Since 2003 LEGO uses natural skin tones (light, medium, dark) for licensed figures depicting recognisable real people: Star Wars characters, NBA players, Harry Potter, etc.
Interchangeability
A lot of the magic comes from interchangeability: any head fits any torso, any pair of arms fits any combo. Collectors customise their figures completely.
On Lakea
Each set page shows the minifig count as a spec-pill. For sets with rare minifigs we sometimes pull extra info from Rebrickable.
