LEGO Insiders (formerly VIP)

On 1 October 2023 LEGO renamed their loyalty programme from VIP to LEGO Insiders. Many collectors still say "VIP points" — both terms refer to the same programme. It's free, no obligations.

How it works

• Per €1 on lego.com earn 6.5 Insider points (~5% of your purchase)
• 1000 points = €5 discount
• Points don't expire as long as you stay active
• Insider rewards: gift sets, voucher codes, double-point promotions

Early access

The biggest perk for collectors: Insiders typically get 7-14 days early access on major releases (UCS sets, modulars, exclusives). For popular releases like the Millennium Falcon or Eiffel Tower, those frequently sell out to Insiders within hours, before the wider launch.

Redeeming

At lego.com checkout you choose how many points to spend — up to 50% of your order. Points aren't usable at other retailers.

Lakea perspective

For anyone buying directly from LEGO regularly, Insiders is free 5% back. But other retailers in our comparator structurally offer 10-25% discount on LEGO's own RRP — sometimes you come out ahead at someone else despite missing the Insider points.
