LEGO Icons

LEGO Icons has been the umbrella name since 2022 for LEGO's most prestigious adult-aimed sets outside licensed themes. Previously this category was called Creator Expert — content is identical, only the name changed.

What falls under Icons

• Modular Buildings (see separate term)
• Botanicals — bonsai, orchid, dried flowers, succulents
• Vintage cars — Mini Cooper, VW T2 Camper, Ford Mustang, Porsche 911 Turbo
• Iconic vehicles — Steamboat Willie, Concorde, Titanic
• Anniversary sets — Galaxy Explorer, Police Station 10278

Style

High detail, often 1000+ pieces, RRP €70-€700+, 18+ age label. Long build time (4-15 hours) and strongly display-oriented.

Lakea tip

Icons sets are collector favourites and often appreciate after end-of-life. For budget-conscious buyers: these sets usually stay available 3-5 years and discounts up to 25% regularly appear at non-LEGO retailers in our comparator.
