Collectible Minifigures

The Collectible Minifigures series (CMF) are standalone LEGO minifigures in blind bags. LEGO releases a new series every 6 months, with 12 or 16 unique figures per series. They used to cost around €3 per bag; today €4-€5.

The "blind" system

Originally each bag had a unique barcode on the outside — collectors could memorise the codes to know which figure was inside. Since 2018 there's a QR code instead, making it truly random. Some fans "feel" through the bag to recognise accessories.

Series

Besides numbered series (1 through 26+), there are themed ones: LEGO Movie, Disney, Harry Potter, Marvel, etc. Themed series usually come in larger bags with different artwork.

Value

Every series includes a "chase" figure that's rarer. On the second-hand market (mainly BrickLink) these can be worth hundreds of euros. Cheaper figures sell as duo or trio for a few euros.
