Delete your data

1. Which data is deleted?

When you delete your account, the following are erased immediately and irreversibly:

• Email address and password hash
• Favourite sets (watchlist)
• Price alerts (set, collection and promo alerts)
• Preferences (language, country, selected shops)
• Click and view statistics linked to your account
• Any reserved GWP codes (returned to the pool)

Non-personal logging (anonymised price and feed statistics) remains in the database. Your identity cannot be derived from it.

2. Delete it yourself via your account

The fastest route — everything happens in one browser session, no intervention needed:

1. Log in at lakea.net/login
2. Go to lakea.net/account
3. Scroll to the "Delete account" section at the bottom
4. Click "Delete account…"
5. Enter your password and type VERWIJDER to confirm (exactly that word)
6. Click "Delete permanently"

After this step, your account and all linked data are immediately removed from the database. You receive no confirmation email (we don't send to deleted accounts).

3. Request deletion by email

Can't log in any more, or want us to carry out the deletion? Send an email to info@lakea.net from the email address linked to your account, with the subject "Account deletion request".

We confirm receipt within 3 working days and complete the deletion within 30 days, in accordance with Article 17 GDPR (right to erasure).

4. What we do not delete

Legally required logs (for example for fraud detection or affiliate-network verification) we keep for at most as long as the law prescribes (typically 7 years for financial records). These logs contain no email address or password; they cannot be linked to your personal identity after your account is deleted.

5. No account created?

Visitors without an account leave no personal data on lakea.net. We use no third-party tracking cookies for advertising, and we do not buy or sell user data. See the full privacy policy for details.

6. Platform-specific requests

Did you access Lakea via an external platform integration (for example a Facebook login, a Threads connection or similar API access)? You can then unlink the connection at that platform itself, and delete your data at Lakea via the two routes above. We do not store external platform tokens permanently.
