A life-size, drivable LEGO® Technic™ Koenigsegg Sadair’s Spear hit 111 km/h on the Goodwood hill — the fastest LEGO® build ever, more than double the old record of 50 km/h. It celebrates the launch of the new LEGO® Technic Koenigsegg Sadair’s Spear Megacar (42232).

The set: 4,104 pieces, sixth Ultimate Car

The Megacar (42232) is the sixth set in the LEGO® Technic Ultimate Car Concept Series. 4,104 pieces, for ages 18+. Inside the box: an authentic V8 piston engine, a functional 9-speed transmission, a unique Triplex front and rear suspension, and a rotating gear indicator disc showing which gear the model is in.

Ghost Mode

The standout is the working Ghost Mode. With a single movement it raises the rear clam, rotates the signature dihedral synchro-helix doors and the front hood, and folds the mirrors — just like the real megacar. The model also has working steering and a removable roof.

The life-size record

The drivable 1:1 version is built from 327,906 LEGO® elements, weighs roughly 1,800 kg (400 kg of it LEGO®), and took over 9,400 hours to build. Koenigsegg test driver Markus Lundh took it up the famous Goodwood hill in reverse and set the record at 111 km/h.
